Dr. Drew and pushing an agenda

I am so upset.  Dr. Drew (from VH1 and MTV) has been a great source of compassion and wisdom in regard to counseling.  Up until now I really thought he was an effective instrument of change in people's lives.

I've been a fan of '16 and Pregnent' mainly because is it touching and truly shows the reality of being a teen and having a baby.   Additionally Dr. Drew is very supportive of adoption.

But I am so upset because Dr. Drew is PUSHING contraceptives... Every teen he talks to he asks what their new means of contraception is for preventing future pregnancies.  And when talking to one of the teen parents he offered the morning after pill as a future option for contraception.  The teen responded that she did not believe in the morning after pill because she believes it is an abortive.  Dr. Drew openly LIED and stated that it is NOT an abortive method.  It truly seemed that is was a 'set-up' question just so he could say that it is not an abortive pill.

But Dr. Drew.... IT IS AN ABORTIVE METHOD!  I don't understand how he could just openly put that out there.  Am I missing something?

Plan B (the morning after pill):  If conception has already occurred it prevents the implantation of the fertilized egg.  This is abortion.

From Catholic.com:

The "morning after" pill is not a contraceptive--it does not prevent conception--its only purpose is to induce the abortion of an already conceived child.

Ugh.  I am done with Dr. Drew.  And it makes me sad!  But I cannot support someone who is a board certified physician and KNOWS that truth and lies to a completely impressionable population.   I am not asking for Dr. Drew to agree with the Catholic Church.  I just want Truth.  And someone who is in such a powerful position needs to be honest.  :(   I guess we just have to pray for his conversion.

Mother furious after in-school clinic sets up teens abortion

Okay so this is unbelievable. I seriously cannot believe this is legit.  But it happened and I have a feeling it is going to happen again....

Mother furious after in-school clinic sets up teen's abortion:
SEATTLE -- The mother of a Ballard High School student is fuming after the health center on campus helped facilitate her daughter's abortion during school hours.

The mother, whom KOMO News has chosen to identify only as "Jill," says the clinic kept the information "confidential."

When she signed a consent form, Jill figured it meant her 15 year old could go to the Ballard Teen Health Center located inside the high school for an earache, a sports physical, even birth control, but not for help terminating a pregnancy.

"She took a pregnancy test at school at the teen health center," she said. "Nowhere in this paperwork does it mention abortion or facilitating abortion."

Jill says her daughter, a pro-life advocate, was given a pass, put in a taxi and sent off to have an abortion during school hours all without her family knowing.

"We had no idea this was being facilitated on campus," said Jill. "They just told her that if she concealed it from her family, that it would be free of charge and no financial responsibility."

The Seattle School District says it doesn't run the health clinics at high schools. Swedish Medical Center runs the clinic at Ballard High and protects the students' privacy.

T.J. Cosgrove of the King County Health Department, which administers the school-based programs for the health department, says it's always best if parents are involved in their children's health care, but don't always have a say.

"At any age in the state of Washington, an individual can consent to a termination of pregnancy," he said.

But Jill says she not only didn't have a say in her daughter's abortion, but also didn't know about it.

"Makes me feel like my rights were completely stripped away."

Article: Shortage of Women in China

Shortage of women in China:

This article is so sad.   Researchers have found that in 10 years there will not be enough women to marry men.   This is due to the abortion of females and the 1 child policy China enforces.

Truly I cannot believe that either of these practices even exist in the world.  It seriously just blows my mind.  I am also sad to read the article and see in black and white what we knew all along.  Of course there would be a shortage of women for men to marry.  And of course human trafficking and prostitution would be on the rise.

"Abductions and trafficking of women are "rampant" in areas with excess numbers of men, The Global Times reported, citing findings by China's National Population and Family Planning Commission."

"Illegal marriages and forced prostitution were also problems in those areas, the paper said in a report by Agence France-Presse"

God has made it so clear that abortion is wrong. How can an entire nation ignore the Truth?  Even strictly looking at morality, how can they as a country believe that the removal of women from their society will have any benefit?  Obviously these people had to think about the repercussions of killing off baby girls?  And the one child rule had to have consequences that were taken into consideration.

Jer 1:5   Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.

CCC 2319  Every human life, from the moment of conception until death, is sacred because the human person has been willed for it's own sake in the image and likeness of the living and holy God.

In 2010 maybe we could join in praying for the conversion of China, for the babies that have been and will be aborted, and for the women who did have the chance to be born who will face dire conditions as they reach adulthood.

Stop the Abortion Mandate

(This was sent to me by a friend)

Last night, President Obama addressed a joint session of Congress -- and the nation -- about his plan for a national, government-run health care system, stating:

"One more misunderstanding I want to clear up -- underour plan, no federal dollars will be used to fundabortions."

This simply IS NOT TRUE! Even the mainstream media and respected fact-checking organizations are calling out the President on this misinformation. Make no mistake about it:

Abortion WILL be funded by the government through the proposed health care plan. For years, Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby have been working towards the day when abortion would be included in comprehensive health care reform -- the day when abortion coverage would become mandatory and paid for with your tax dollars.

Unless we act NOW, that day is here! If President Obama's proposed health care legislation passes, abortion providers will get their wish -- a multi-billion-dollar bailout, funded by the federal government through your tax dollars. Even as national polls reveal growing opposition to the abortion-laden health care reform proposals, new polling results released today show that the majorityof Americans think it is WRONG for the government to pay for abortions and DO NOT want the government to fund health plans that fund abortions. We must redouble our efforts to stop the abortion mandate in proposed health care reform legislation.

That's why we're inviting you to join pro-lifers across the country TODAY in the "VOID THE ABORTION MANDATE" virtual rally and grassroots campaign. President Obama and your representatives in Congressneed to hear from you TODAY. Here's what to do right now:

Pro-life warriors

THIS IS SUPER EASY- TAKES THREE MINUTES

Here is the latest:

With last night’s 26-33 defeat of an amendment to ban your tax dollars for paying for abortions in the District of Columbia, pro-lifers across the country must rally to defeat the Financial Services Appropriations bill.

If this bill is allowed to pass, YOU will be paying for all abortions in Washington, D.C. starting on October 1st.

Conservative estimates say allowing for taxpayer funded abortions in the D.C. will result in 1,000 more abortions each year.

Please click here to contact your Representative and tell them to oppose taxpayer-funded abortions!

Why does this matter? Because laws save lives. When the government isn’t subsidizing abortion on-demand, we see fewer abortions.

Taxpayer-funded abortion on-demand is not common ground and it certainly doesn’t reduce abortions.

This is why it is so important that you act now to oppose this bill. We can still save the lives of precious unborn children in the District of Columbia.

Click here to contact your Representative and tell them to vote no on the Financial Service Appropriations bill. Tell them you oppose taxpayer-funded abortions!

I urge you to consider forwarding this e-mail to as many friends and family members you can. Now is not the time to give up. We must continue to fight for the lives of the innocent unborn and the consciences of millions of pro-life Americans who do not want to participate in their deaths.

Thank you all that you do for the unborn boys and girls!

Third Tremester Abortions

My mind cannot wrap itself around the concept of third trimester abortions. It is so heinous that I would almost rather not even think about it. But I do because abortion is morally and ethically wrong. Any abortion is tragic but the idea that a baby in the eighth or ninth month of gestation can be murdered in the womb is so scary. My own heart longs desperately to be blessed with more children and yet abortion still exists.

Father Frank Pavone has written an article that he wishes everyone to read. Take a moment and read what this pro-life priest has to say.

Forcing a Pro-Choice Crisis: What About Third Trimester Abortions?

Fr. Frank Pavone
National Director, Priests for Life

What do LeRoy Carhart, Warren Hern, and George Tiller have in common? They are among an unknown number who perform abortions in the third trimester of pregnancy (the third trimester being the seventh, eighth, and ninth month!)

For two decades I have been proclaiming from the pulpits of America that abortions happen in the third trimester. Many Americans find it hard to believe. Now, in the aftermath of the death of George Tiller, this fact is getting a bit more attention.

The Associated Press reported on June 2 in an article by Eric Olson that physician LeRoy Carhart of Nebraska wants to continue performing abortions at this late stage, but he, as well as Warren Hern, also want to make sure enough physicians are trained in how to do so.

How many are we talking about? The AP story reported, "Carhart said 75 to 100 of the "several thousand" abortions he performs annually are in the third trimester."

Stanley K. Henshaw, a senior fellow at the Guttmacher Institute, the research division of Planned Parenthood, and the best source of these statistics, is quoted in a June 5 Washington Post article as saying, "The information just isn't available...This is an area that we just don't know much about."

The Guttmacher Institute does report in its official statistics, however, that some 13,310 abortions each year are at 21 weeks or more of pregnancy (that is, 1.1% of the 1.21 million abortions per year). Of the 40 states that reported in 2005 to the Centers for Disease Control, 32 states reported abortions of babies 21 weeks or older.

This means that every day, 37 babies the size of a large banana are dismembered and decapitated - and these include healthy babies of healthy mothers...and it's happening legally.

These are babies that the mother can already feel moving. According to MedlinePlus, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, these babies are storing fat on their bodies, their heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope, they can hear, they have eyebrows, eyelashes, fingernails and toenails. Incidentally, MedlinePlus calls them "babies." (See www.nlm.nih.gov/MEDLINEPLUS/ency/article/002398.htm ).

Many people wonder how they can get some traction in the seemingly intractable abortion debate. How can they get people to listen, or make pro-choice people believe that pro-life people have good reason to be against abortion?

My suggestion: start by discussing the facts I just mentioned.

It's morally legitimate to focus on late-term abortion; that doesn't deny that all abortion is wrong; it's simply a way to get the ball rolling, a pedagogical method of going from the most obvious to the less obvious, of starting with what people know and leading to what they don't know.

When people are astonished by these facts, as they will be, they are forced to re-evaluate just how much priority "privacy" and "choice" have over life. If they are "pro-choice," they are forced to figure out when in pregnancy the line is drawn - and why.

And now you're talking.

Ten Reasons Why the Prolife Movement is Winning

Actively Prolife

To be actively pro-life is to contribute to the renewal of society through the promotion of the comon good. It is impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are founded and from which they develop.

Jay Leno and support of abortion

Please contact Jeff Zucker, NBC Chief Executive, and ask him why his star, Jay Leno, is raising money for an organization that attacks pregnancy care centers.

Ask NBC, What Does Jay Leno Have Against Pregnant Women?April 13, 2009

As the king of late night comedy, Jay Leno has few living peers. He is watched and beloved by millions of American viewers, which makes it difficult to understand his support for an organization that seeks to shut down facilities that have as their sole purpose to give a home and guidance to young ladies who find themselves pregnant with nowhere else to go.

On April 29th Jay Leno and his wife are hosting a fundraiser for the Feminist Majority Foundation, a radical pro-abortion group that not only advocates for abortion on demand, but also for the closing of pro-life pregnancy centers.

This month the Feminist Majority Foundation sent an e-mail to its 400 campus affiliates planning a nationwide protest against facilities that dare to offer women alternatives to abortion and the support they need to choose life.

Please let NBC know that is unacceptable and that you will not watch any show that stars Jay Leno until he apologizes to the hundreds of thousands of people who have been helped by pregnancy care centers and the hundreds of thousands of people who staff those centers.

Follow the link here to express your concern. It only takes a second.

A Doctor's Right

Here is another online form we can sign to let the Obama administration know that we do not agree with their policy.

It's called a Doctor's Right.

The Obama administration wants to rescind the bill by President Bush that allowed health care workers to refuse to participate in procedures that were against their beliefs. Most importantly this affects faith based hospitals and abortion issues.

The Heritage Foundation provides some additional information as well.

Thanks!

The Truth

I found this quote in a news email I was sent. The editor was responding to the different responses that priests gave regarding the Pope's support of monogamy and abstinence.

Henry Makori, editor of Catholic Information Service for Africa, spoke for many Catholics when he wrote:

" So what? The uneasy relationship between religion and the media will continue. One hopes Pope Benedict does not lose much sleep over this. The church's greatest challenge in this age is not to have secular media on its side, or to get everyone agreeing with its doctrines. Christianity is in town to bear credible witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ."

This brought to mind the Scripture that reads:

"If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as it's own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of this world- therefore the world hates you."- John 15:18-19

In light of these two articles of truth I have to laugh. You see I constantly forget that I am going to come up against opposition. Somewhere along the line (probably because of the 1960's or something) I have been inundated with the idea that everyone is just supposed to be 'cool' with everyone beliefs... I get confused because in order to be 'cool' sometimes it means that I am not a bearer of truth (The Truth) but more someone who nods my head and thinks, 'Well, not for me but its okay for you I guess'.

Hearing the Pope speak out against the use of condoms has really been an amazing example for his flock. Of course, we pray and hope the Pope would stand up for Truth, still he surely has received a lot of opposition. Media, other priests, fellow Catholics and the list goes on of those who are really upset by the Pope's seemingly 'unrealistic' stance.

But for those of us who are truly hearing the Message we know that this is a deeper call to holiness.....

"Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Verse 10)" - Matthew 5:10

Yes Lord!

This is where its at. Standing up for what is truth and proclaiming the Gospel message.

It made me think about an experience I had the other day...

I had the opportunity to pray outside an abortion clinic for an hour. Nothing crazy just rosary time. I went with a good friend and with the help of another lovely women we quietly prayed outside.

So, upon getting there I was in another world... I just had so much going on in my own life that this had become just another thing to do on the list. We get there, break out the rosary, and the multitude of women start pouring into the clinic. They are coming and I am standing on the side of the road praying. Honestly, my emotions were overwhelmed. My heart was breaking knowing that these women were coming to seek an end to their child's life. I was angry because I have been praying for another child for three years and they are willing to just 'get rid' of theirs. All of this while being touched with a moment of embarrassment.... I know! See, we were on this busy street and cars kept screaming by on their way to work or lunch, where ever and I started thinking about what they must think of me. I thought about the impression I was making, how I was probably offending those pro-choicers driving by, how this could potentially 'turn someone off'.

These were just the thoughts going through my mind....so as the rosary went on and the cars kept coming I began to feel the urgency of prayer and how necessary it is to be a catalyst of change in that community. Abortions are wrong. They are a travesty to the human race and I imagine that God cries each time his children are killed. It was at this point that the Holy Spirit moved me into conviction and gratitude that I had been called to pray for his little ones.

This reminds me that I have to have to put on the Whole Armor of God to truly become his warrior. (this is one of my faves):

"Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord and in the might of his power. 11 Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. High places, or heavenly places... That is to say, in the air, the lowest of the celestial regions; in which God permits these wicked spirits or fallen angels to wander. 13 Therefore, take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day and to stand in all things perfect. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth and having on the breastplate of justice: 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16 In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. 17 And take unto you the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God). 18 By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit: and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints". - Ephesians 6:10-17 (taken from www.newadvent.com)

So, I have continued gratitude to the Pope for not only standing up for the Truth but inspiring his flock to follow suit and truly emulate his behavior. We are blessed to have a faithful and brilliant Pope. We must continue to pray for his faithfulness, holiness and servitude.

And as for us, I pray that we become INSPIRED! EXCITED! MOVED by the Spirit and able to always speak and promote the Truth.... With the Armor of God to cover us, the Rosary to guide us and the Eucharist to give us life we move forward in this day and age knowing that our reward lies in Heaven.

More Notre Dame Controversy

Here is a positive update to the Notre Dame Scandel:

http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=2396

I was reading another article that was applauding Notre Dame's efforts to look past 'political disagreements' and honor the President for, well, something.

At first it just enraged me. The author, a 'Catholic', says:

"Our voices must be raised to say that we are thrilled such a distinguished Catholic university is considered such a part of the life of the nation that our President will be coming to address its graduates. We are thrilled that he will be sharing the stage with one of our Church’s and nation’s finest scholars and diplomats. And, we should be thrilled that the right wing commentariat has again adopted its smug "I thank Thee, Lord, that I am not like other men" stance. "

But really an article like this has only encouraged me further to be a defender of life. There will be many who say that those who are against the President speaking at Notre Dame is silly, excessive and even prejudice.

Come on.

Lets get to the bottom of this. THE PRESIDENT IS AN ACTIVE SUPPORTER AND CATALYST FOR CHANGE REGARDING THE PRO-CHOICE MOVEMENT. HE HAS APPOINTED MORE PRO-CHOICE MEMBERS TO OFFICE THAN EVER BEFORE. HE HAS SPOKEN CLEARLY ABOUT HIS BELIEFS AND INTENTIONS FOR AMERICA. HE BELIEVES ABORTION SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL WOMEN IN ALL COUNTRIES. HE IS SUPPORTIVE OF STEM CELL RESEARCH.

And now one of the most well known Catholic universities in the country want to honor him. You better believe we are going to be upset. We are defenders of life! We are the unborns only voice! And it is sad that Notre Dame has decided to look past all that the President stands for regarding major moral issues and honor him anyway. Not okay. Not acceptable.

It is important for us to be prepared to share why it is unacceptable for Notre Dame to be so supportive of the President to our family and friends who don't understand. We know it truly is a matter of life and death.

Prayers for the president

Foremost we need to pray......

Then educate ourselves.....

Sometimes I have conversations with men and women who say, "President Obama really hasn't done anything to hurt the pro-life movement". I don't always know what to say. I know that he is Pro-choice and intent on making abortions, contraceptives and stem cell research available for all. Let there be no question, President Obama supports the culture of death. So in light of these 'conversations' I found some sobering information.

Lifenews.com listed a fascinating article here about what the President has really done. I will give you some highlights:

January 22, 2009 - Releases statement restating support for Roe v. Wade decision that allowed virtually unlimited abortions and has resulted in at least 50 million abortions since 1973.

January 23, 2009 - Forces taxpayers to fund pro-abortion groups that either promote or perform abortions in other nations. Decison to overturn Mexico City Policy sends part of $457 million to pro-abortion organizations.

February 27, 2009 - Starts the process of overturning pro-life conscience protections President Bush put in place to make sure medical staff and centers are not forced to do abortions.

March 5, 2009 - The Obama administration shut out pro-life groups from attending a White House-sponsored health care summit. Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, made the invitation list as did other pro-abortion groups.

March 9, 2009 - President Barack Obama signed an executive order forcing taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research.

More Pro-life help needed

Here is another great way for stay at home moms and all others who have a busy schedule to help support the Pro Life movement. It only took a few minutes to do!

Prolife Warriors,

On March 6, President Obama's administration moved to completely rescind a rule that was designed at the end of the Bush administration to protect the consciences of physicians and health care workers. The ethics committee of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists had issued a paper in which they called on doctors who are opposed to abortion to refer women to abortion providers, claiming that conscience protections shouldn't prevent prolife physicians from referring women to abortion providers.

Federal law has prevented discrimination against health care personnel who refuse to perform or assist in abortions but the Bush administration policy required institutions which receive federal money to certify their compliance with the laws protecting the conscience rights of health care personnel and was intended to prevent federal funds from going to hospitals and other institutions who ignore those rights.

PROLIFE ACTION NEEDED NOW:

The Federal Register will allow 30 days for citizens to comment on the proposal before making a formal decision.

The deadline for comments is April 9.

You may submit electronic comments via email to proposedrescission@hhs.gov or by visiting www.Regulations.gov and typing "rescission proposal" in the center "search
documents" box
.

You have to check the box titled "Select to find documents accepting comments or submissions." This search should have 5 results, the first or second one being the proposed rule change. It is titled:

"Rescission of the Regulation entitled "Ensuring That Department of Health and HumanServices Funds Do Not Support Coercive or Discriminatory Policies orPractices in Violation of Federal Law"

Click on "send a comment of submission". You may type in :

"I oppose the decision to rescind the conscience protections forhealthcare workers."
At the bottom of the page, click "next step", then submit your comment. Submit.

Please take a few minutes to express your support for conscience protection
for doctors and nurses who oppose abortion.

Obama quietly removing doctors' protections on abortion

Hello All,

Please make your voices heard as this is not getting much press. Pass this on to everyone you know and contact President Obama to let him know what you think. http://www.lifenews/.com/nat4865. html

President Obama Starts Process of Removing Doctors' Protections on Abortions by Steven ErteltLifeNews.com Editor

February 27, 2009Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) --

The White House quietly announced on Friday that President Barack Obama is starting the process of overturning protections President Bush put in place to make sure medical staff and centers are not forced to do abortions. The move is the latest that will add to Obama's growing pro-abortion record.Existing federal laws already make it so doctors and hospitals are not required to perform abortions. Because those laws aren't always followed, the Bush administration added additional protections.Bush officials noted a pattern of grant recipients being unaware of or flouting existing laws protecting medical professionals´ rights of conscience.

So, HHS enacted the new regulations to require grantees to certify compliance with them in order to receive funds. In August, 2008 the Department of Health and Human Services proposed regulations to strengthen those existing laws. The regulations were finalized on December 18, 2008 and went into effect January 20, 2009.Abortion advocates complained about the new regulations and made false claims that they would somehow deny women access to birth control even though the regulations do not limit or restrict any legal practice or product.Three pro-abortion groups and pro-abortion attorneys general from seven states filed a lawsuit to overturn the rules and today's news makes it clear the Obama administration is preparing its own move to rescind them.Obama officials told the Chicago Tribune that they are opening up a 30-day public comment period, after which they will roll back the protections for medical personnel and facilities."We believe that this is a complex issue that requires a thoughtful process where all voices can be heard," one unnamed official told the newspaper.

The Obama aides indicated the administration will draft a new set of rules that will clarify, but also likely lessen, the protections and enforcement health care workers enjoy under the Bush rules.Three pro-life medical associations banded together last month to fight the lawsuit from abortion advocates and the pro-abortion state officials. Attorneys with the Christian Legal Society and the Alliance Defense Fund filed motions to intervene in that and two other lawsuits filed by top pro-abortion groups to overturn the Provider Conscience Clause.Casey Mattox, an attorney with the Christian Legal Society, told LifeNews.com that the rules are needed so medical professionals have the security of knowing they won't be pressured to participate in abortions.

"Medical professionals should not be forced to perform abortions against their conscience. Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and their pro-abortion allies are seeking to punish pro-life medical professionals for their beliefs," Mattox said. "Far from arguing for `choice,´ these lawsuits seek to compel health care workers to perform abortions or face dire consequences.

"Matt Bowman, a senior legal counsel with ADF, also weighed in on the case."For over three decades, federal law has prohibited recipients of federal grants from forcing medical professionals to participate in abortions," he told LifeNews.com. "The arguments in the lawsuits themselves demonstrate lack of compliance with these laws and the necessity of the regulation they are challenging.

"The Bush conscience rules were intended to educate those in the medical field as well as the general public about the rights of medical personnel to treat their patients in accordance with their conscience free from discrimination or intimidation. They also give health care professionals recourse to the HHS Office of Civil Rights and a way to press charges in the event they experience discrimination.

President Obama has already upset pro-life advocates with his move to make them fund groups that perform and promote abortions overseas and by his appointing numerous pro-abortion officials to top posts.Obama had been expected to wait to overturn the conscience rules until after he named a new Secretary of Health but that process has been held up because his top choice, Tom Daschle, had to withdraw and his second choice, Kathleen Sebelius, is under fire for her radical pro-abortion stance supporting late-term abortions.

From the Mouth of Babes

If only we could all see things as clearly and speak so passionately as this 12 year old girl...

In case you were wondering her mother discouraged her from doing this speech, it was 100% her own. She also was initially told she could not do it by teachers then she was told she would be disqualified from the competition. She gave her speech anyway, one judge walked out, but in the end she won her competition and is now inspiring the world. Read the complete article here.

President Obama and abortion policy changes

It is with a heavy heart that I read CNN.com and observe that only a few days into office, President Obama is ready to make some changes to the current abortion policies. And it's not good.

The article found here http://news.aol.com/article/officials-obama-to-reverse-abortion/316108?cid=12.

"President Barack Obama plans to sign an executive order ending the ban on federal funds for international groups that perform abortions or provide information on the option".

Basically he is allowing tax payer money to be given to international groups that perform and provide information on abortions. (Since the order was created it has been reinstated or banned depending on the political party). Apparently Former Pres. Clinton had ended the ban and one of the first things Pres. Bush did was make sure the ban was back in place. *Way to go Former-president Bush!

SO BASICALLY IT WILL TAKE OUR TAX MONEY AND SEND IT OVERSEES TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT ACTUAL ABORTIONS, THE EDUCTION OF ABORTIONS, AND PROMOTION OF ABORTIONS AS A VIABLE CHOICE.

"In a move related to the lifting of the abortion rule, Obama also is expected to restore funding to the U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA), probably in the next budget. Both he and Clinton had pledged to reverse a Bush administration determination that assistance to the organization violated U.S. law.".

This is nuts. Basically Obama provides financial assistance to UNFPA. UNFPA supports the Chinese family planning policy. You know, the one where women are forced to have abortions if they have more than one child in the home and there is forced sterilization. And if they do have the second child they can be fined up to $25,000.

"President Obama not long ago told the American people that he would support policies to reduce abortions, but today he is effectively guaranteeing more abortions by funding groups that promote abortion as a method of population control," said Douglas Johnson, legislative director of the National Right to Life Committee.

I guess we all knew it was coming... but I wanted to ignore the scary possibilities and hope for the best. At this point all the worst situations possible are beginning to come to the surface. This is a full blown war on the sanctity of life. So now we pray....and pray...
