The other day at Mass I listened to the symphony of children's noises and got to thinking. I imagined that the chorus of noises was actually a beautiful symphony of song for the Lord. We hear a cry or babble and he hears glorious music escaping from the lips of his beloved children. They worship Him through their song of praise. And there is probably no prettier song.....

I forgot about my Mass experience until I read this post. There was a baby crying at the 7:30am Mass yesterday and obviously the parent was trying to calm her down instead of leave with her and a gentleman in the front turned around and made an ugly face then began shaking his head. I thought, "Oh get over it. Your girls come in late all the time and disturb people. Besides, Jesus loves the little children and welcomes them." I know, bad thought on my part about his girls but... Right before the Consecration, his phone went off of all things! It was difficult to contain myself. I had to make myself let it go. Guess like you say, should think of it as just another song of praise. Easier with the babies than the phone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me of the reasons we bring the kids to Mass even though sometimes it feels like an endless struggle :)
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for this post right now, as I have a wiggly 11-month-old. And Jesus loves her very much!!!
